With a disappointing result of 17th at the first tour stin the huge waves of Mauritius in Sept, where Lee was knocked out by just 0.3 points, the Tour then moved onto Peru and the longest kiteable wave in the World at Pacasmayo. Lee charged hard and went through to the quarter finals where he lost by just 0.45 of a point to the 3rd place finisher from Mauritius, Mauricio Padreira (Brasil). This gave Lee a respectable 9th place finish and the highest single wave score of the comp of 8.5 out of a possible 10 points.
The final tour stop of 2011 was in Cabo Verde, where unfortunately the waves didn't deliver and the event was called during Lee's round 1 heat which he was winning by an impressive 4.5 points over riders who were higher up the rankings.
The was a big disappointment for Lee as Cape Verde was on his preferred front side right hand waves and he was looking good for a least a Top 5 finish to move up the years World Rankings.
Still 10th in the World for Cornwalls most respected all round waterman and plenty to work on for the 2012 World Tour.
Lee is desperately in need of sponsors to help with travel costs for the 2012 tour and can be contacted via his personal website www.leepasty.co.uk where you can also see full write ups from the tour and Lees adventures.
