Praa Sands

Picture
Half way between Penzance and Helston you turn right down to one of Cornwalls best (on its day) beachbreaks.
Kite here on W-NW or SE wind with a surfboard. (Twin Tips are much better off with Marazion due to more space and cleaner wind!)
Always gusty but with the right swell and good banks, Praa is the most high performance beach break in the UK.
Really good pub the Sandbar, which holds great nights as well as doing superb food. Also great breakfasts at the Beach shack.
Only holds up to 4 kites and stay away from the surfers. Also be aware of big heavy close outs and zero wind on the inside in nw wind.
If you are a confident Wave rider, Praa is great for rights and good to build your level in heavier waves before taking on Porthleven.
